Thriffie is free. We would like to keep it that way.
No seller fees, no commission, no cut of anything. Sellers keep every rupiah and buyers pay them directly. An island this size runs on people passing good things along, and a fee on every handover gets in the way of that. If that ever has to change, it will be announced in advance and will never apply to a sale already made.
Become a partner
Thrift shops, surf rentals, laundries, cafés, co-working spaces, hostels, villa managers — anywhere second-hand things change hands, or anywhere people are arriving and leaving. We are looking for a handful of local partners to build the first version of this around.
- —Featured partner spot on the homepage and in your category
- —Your shop listed as a drop-off or pickup point for sellers nearby
- —Cross-posting: we send buyers your way, you point sellers ours
- —A swap or car-boot event we run together
- —A Departure Box at your villa or hostel: guests leave what they can't fly home with, you list it
- —End-of-season, sample or returned stock listed here instead of going to landfill
Anything in a departure box can be listed as Free. Some of it is worth selling; a lot of it is worth more to someone who needs it than it is on a shelf.
To be clear about what we are asking for: at this stage nothing here involves money. Partnerships are swaps of attention, not invoices. If you have something larger in mind, say so in the email and we will talk.

The Departure Box is a ready-made version of this. One box in your lobby, no fee to join.
Get in touch about partneringList something
The single most useful thing anyone can do. A marketplace with items is worth visiting; one without them is not. Even three things from your wardrobe change what the next person sees.
List an item →Tell one person
Someone in your villa, your gym, your co-working. Bali turns over constantly — there is always someone arriving who needs a surfboard and someone leaving who is selling one.
Ideas, offers, complaints
Partnership, something broken, or something that should exist and does not — all to the same address, and a real person reads it.
